Entitled with Embracing a New Internet Era and Co-creating a New Industry Future, the 2020 China Internet Conference (CIC), hosted by the Internet Society of China (ISC), was organized from July 23-25 online. The openning ceremony was held online on the afternoon of 23 July.

On the evening of July 23, the opening forum was held online. Mr.Liu Liehong, Vice Minister of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology(MIIT) attended the opening forum and delivered a speech. Mr.He Guili, Vice President and Deputy Secretary-General of the Internet Society of China delivered a keynote speech. Speakers of high-level leadership from China Telecom Corporation, China Mobile Communications Corporation, Xinhuanet, Tencent, Baidu, Qi Anxin Group, Huawei, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology attended the forum and delivered a keynote speech.

The opening forum was moderated by Ms.Liu Duo, President of China Academy of Information and Communications Technology and Vice President and Secretary-General of the ISC.

Mr.He Guili, Vice President and Deputy Secretary-General of ISC, released the "2020 China Internet Development Report " at the opening forum. He pointed out that from the perspective of the external environment of industrial development, the construction of new strategic and network-based information infrastructure and the new generation of information technology applications such as cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence, and virtual reality have given innovative vitality to the development of the Internet. From the perspective of Internet applications and services, "Internet+" continues to promote the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries. The market scale of various Internet segments has grown steadily, the industry environment has been continuously optimized, new products and new formats have emerged in an endless stream, and the service model has continued to iteratively evolve.

The 2020 (19th) China Internet Conference will be held online from July 23 to 25 for three days. The number of online viewers on the opening ceremony exceeded 10 million. This conference included three sections: online forums, online exhibitions and special events. More than 20 forums will be held with hot topics such as new infrastructure, 5G, artificial intelligence, industrial Internet, and blockchain. Leaders of relevant government departments, experts and scholars from various fields and research institutions, and representatives of Internet companies will share their opinions and discuss the development of the Internet.
